With the aid of our corporate partners this week, joining us was Bob Evans Restaurants, who brought in GFS.
The photos speak volumes, and with the tremendous amount of food given, the families truly blessed with a Walmart gift card ($25.00 per family), boxes, and bags of foods described below. One hundred (135) families served. Previously we gave out 250 Kroger gift cards, so the love spread among our partners.
The number of donations allowed us to distribute food to additional school sites where children are impacted heavily with no food or very little to eat. As they too pick up assignments, the food boxes were an added surprise.
Women2Women enjoys a great partnership in mentoring women in recovery and rebounding from tremendous obstacles, and to this, we blessed 120 families with boxes of food as they have waited 2 weeks for something to eat and had reached bare bones. The ladies were reduced to tears as the GFS/Bob Evans Restaurant Women2Women Partnership pulled in to the parking area.
To Continuing our relationship of supporting the pantries, 150 families were served with our donation to CCC pantry.
Lastly, for three (3)weeks, we have supported and partnered with The Good Kitchen 614 (located on Sunbury Rd), who serves our seniors and children in the 19 zip code area each Tuesday and Wednesday with free hot meals. To date, we have provided over 780 meals. Food donations provided to help with serving free hot meals via the restaurant carryout and the delivery of hot meals to homebound seniors.
Feeding 150 families in the Champion/Trevitt Schools, 125 families tied to Alvis that W2W mentor, 150 families via the food pantry we support in the 19 zip, 300 meals via the restaurant carry out and meal delivery to seniors. The donations included: fresh eggs, Milk (1gal/White & Chocolate), fresh fruits (grapes and cantaloupes), Chicken Tenders, Corn Mush (well my grannie knew what to do with this one), carrots, 10lb bags of Hash brown potatoes, and 10lb bags of diced potatoes.
God is so good that a small ministry such as our outreach and served 950 families this week alone, and we have a hard time in the major league. An update such as this drew in Bob Evans Restaurants and we appreciate their amazing President & CEO who continues to partner with Women2Women.
Sending Prayers & Love for our children, communities, and our Nation. Be well, and do remember Women2Women.
